Located in the heart of the West Loop in downtown Chicago, The Franklin is a iconic skyscraper, long admired for its architectural significance. Originally constructed in 1989, the LEED Silver certified building underwent a large-scale renovation between 2015-2016 to introduce an elegant, modern feel. The scope of the renovation included two exterior structural glass fin façades using Sentech’s VetraFin G-Series System, with glass panels and glass fins spanning over 30 feet in height. The height of the façade fins make this structure one of the tallest fin applications in Chicago. Illuminated, lighted fins add an additional dimension of striking elegance that reflects the world-class amenities this building offers. There is no doubt that this iconic skyscraper has earned its adage in Chicago as the site “where success and opportunity meet”.
